Life as a Nurse
We all know that the Nurse ios one of the most respected persons in the society dur to their humanitarian deeds and even sacrifices.
Let me share to you my life as a nurse
tell you what I did not expect to be a Registered Nurse since I was a child, since I really favor the world of aviation.
Taking up nursing is the most toughest, why? because you need to comply all the requirements and all the lessons that has given to you. Each lesson (depending on the curriculum) has a series of concepts and subjects in order for you to pass. If you don't want to comply PREPARE TO FAIL! But if you really want to fight until the last energy you've got, you will WIN.
During my student days, I admit it was fun, really fun especially when all of you graduated on time. But hardships and failures will occur. We cannot escape those things since Nursing is a tough course. Some might find the profession interesting because of work opportunities abroad and it is a fad during the year 2005- 2010. The peak of Nursing.
Well now here comes graduation, a day to remember and a day to enjoy that all hardships are all paid off. But wait the game is not over yet Nursing Licensure Examination (the 5 headed Dragon symbolizes the 5 nursing Practice tests, call me exaggerated but it is real) is on it's way for you to face. Once you defeat it, the prestigious RN title is yours.
When I passed the NLE, is was a very long time to look for a job which related to Nursing, so I took some training, attended seminars then wait for a Volunteer program.
There it was the volunteer program of the one of the most prestigious hospital in the region, I took the chance to prove my self and there it was new challenges awaits me.
I gained new skills and tell you what It was very stressful. 1 nurse is to 6-8 patients ratio (for some private hosp.) well it is very stressful, so I didn't gave up since knowledge will always be your edge as what I believed. It was fun learning new experiences and new encounters with other patients. I will surely miss those days. Here comes as a Staff Nurse well here comes the PAIN!
Challenges that I haven't encountered has come before me. Here I experience the most stressful days in my life but I really eager to strive for my parents expectations.

Parent's Choice or Your DREAM?
Dad: Son, What course do you want, when you will reach college?
Son: Dad, I want to be a Pilot, since it was my dream to fly a plane
Mother: Why is that so? please choose something appropriate like Nursing?
Son: Mom, it is my Dream!
Mother: Look my son, I have so many friends in abroad who are now earning a thousand dollars and even it reached almost a million pesos. Because they are NURSES. Please take this Course it is good for you.
Dad: Go follow what your mom tells you since it is your future.
Son: But I want to fly planes
Dad: No, Take up nursing!
Mother: Son please we want you to become a nurse because of the high income.
Son: Ok I'll just take it.
3rd year College
Parents? Why did you fail this subject?
Son: I tried my best but I did not make it.
Dad: This is bullshit! we sacrifice our time to let you study nursing because we want you to earn big in your future. And then you failed these subjects? how embarrassing!
Mom: I won't allow you to transfer to other courses but only NURSING! If you want to quit go and quit, And I won't dare to let you study in other courses.
(You may get mad at me but tell you what YES! THESE THINGS HAPPEN! It is not only applicable to BS Nursing course but to all courses Like Education, engineering, HRM, BS. Biology, Medicine and many more. )
We are all being pushed by our parents all the time, but I did not say Never Obey them or never respect them. The point here is we have our own destination, our own dream and our own future to build.
1st we must think is this road for me to take? or would I choose the other path that will lead me to my dream? We can't let other people throw us to the place that we don't like. We may passed the course that our parents wants us to take but it doesn't mean that in the end there is happiness and success.
God has given us a path to take, but we must always be careful and be prepared for the Challenges that hinders us to reach our goal, like our peers, difficulties, family, finances...etc. But challenges are always natural they are there they never sleeps but with you passion to to reach your dream will never die.
We must always understand our parents ambitions because in psychology the children are the extended part of our parent's human body. Therefore those things that they did not earned they will let you take.
Speaking of INCOME AND HUGE SALARY, (Oh I forgot, some parents wants there children to be rich hahahah bato bato sa langit) Do you think that it can lead you to true happiness? (yes, if you are an ambitious materialistic human being)Money can never buy you anything even respect. Salaries and income can be a problem but it can be overcome.
To reach your goal is always about the passion. God has given us the freedom of Choice so we are free to use it.
If you want to be an engineer rather to become a doctor just because you came from a family of doctors- GO FOR IT
If you want to become a Priest rather to become a Policeman GO FOR IT
If you want to become a Teacher rather to become a Nurse because you came from a family of nurses GO FOR IT
If you want to become a Nurse rather to be an accountant because your dad is a Bank Manager GO FOR IT
If you dream to become something victorious because you really believe that it will take you to greener pastures; WALK THROUGH THAT PATH NO MATTER WHAT! BUT MAKE SURE THAT YOU TOOK THE RIGHT DECISION.
Here are the 3 things that you need to do
1. PRAY: It always works, Pray to the Lord to take you to the Path of Happiness and to help you reach you dreams
2. REFLECT: Reflecting the things that you need to do in order to have a better future, ask your self "Is this the Path of me?" "Would it take me to a better place someday?"
3. WORK: Work though your dreams, because through hard work our life will always be successful.
FOLLOW AND LIVE YOUR DREAMS!

Ang Guro
When I heard the title "Ang Guro" it seems like a horror movie to me, But it's a musical Directed by Paul Bollano and Starring Karel Marquez.
The Story was about a teacher who really loved her chosen profession and gives almost of her time to her students. It is an inspiring musical play about the teachers (To be honest i don't like musicales). I even criticized the stage set up but I did'nt mind it until I've got the message of the play. "Hindi lahat ng Kaalaman nanggaling sa libro" (I hope I did not misquote :))
Here's what I've got to say. It was inspiring and makes young BSED, BEED and TCP (Professional) students {Of course TCP students are groups of professionals and working people who takes Education as a 2nd course)To strive hard and learn to love the teaching profession. Teaching is not only limited to all the classrooms of Universities, colleges, High School or elementary schools but it is always UNIVERSAL. Teachers especially those in mountainous communities even they can't get enough a huge amount of salary they still gave their best to all the students who wants to pursue their dreams.
As what the director said that, "Kung mangangarap ka , tabahu-in mo" Yes! it is true strive hard to reach your goals.
Teachers must be a good role to the community since he/she is respected. A teacher must also listen to the problems of her students either it will be family or emotional, He or she is like a Doctor that 24/7 he/she is always there to treat the problems. We must not criticize them since all professions came from them as the director stated "Walang Doctor kung walang guro..." That's true 100% I agree. Each basic foundation of knowledge was taught by our teachers in elementary years,
who taught us how to count correctly?. The Teachers
Who taught us world and Phil. History? The teachers
Who taught us how to read with correct grammar? The teachers
Who taught the engineer how to measure, calculate, and estimate? The Teachers
Who taught you Christian Living Education? The teachers
The role played by Karel Marquez shows what the teachers must be. They are our 2nd parent and even the ear to shout all the problems in a student's heart. Teachers must always act as a professional, gone were the days that they have long arnis sticks that when you commit a small mistake a spank will always be your punishment, gone were the days that the teacher will be the supreme dictator of the classroom, A chalk canon or an eraser catapult...etc. They must always evolve and always be a kind person and knows what is good or bad for the students.
In the Philippines there's no place in the world where the students will spend a half of their life, but in school. They look up their teachers as role models, and so they must set as a good example, as our elders would tell us "Kung ano ang ginagawa ng matanda ay tama sa mata ng bata".
But I admit there are horrible teachers, and if you will ask me who are my horrible teachers, indeed I'll point them one by one HA! Even in College I can point who makes me crawl in his useless subject. Teachers must not be like an executioner, a judge, a dictator or a monster in the midst of the students. But they must be like an Angel sent by God from the heaven to teach the students how to be successful.
Teachers must NEVER EVER envy their students instead they must be proud of their students no matter what they become.
If your Students had new ideas guide them and support their creativity and even LISTEN to them. Don't be a close minded professional but an open minded that knows how to accept other persons idea.

My 1st Experience in Blogging
I started blogging since last year because I was inspired by the CFDs which is a group of Church Apologetics. It was fun and you can state whatever you feel. In the blogs I've been through I learned a lot and there I argued and debated some opposing commentators. It is like an independent journalism. Well I will not mention the name of my 1st blog but it is just there authored by me. Blogging is way where you can make is as a diary or any features would you like to present.

Taking up BSN?
We all know what is a nurse.
A person in white uniform, administering medications, carrying patient's chart and going with the doctors rounds.
It is the most stressful and one of the most difficult professions to execute.
But sad to say these days Nurses are not needed. Due to a hundreds and thousands of nurses unemployed or works in other establishments (I hope that you are enjoying your work :) rather putting your precious time in front of the patient).
Let's get some reasons why they would take up nursing.
I was in 4th year High School at CSA-B one of the leading schools in Bacolod City we had a thesis to make and thus I made a research on why would graduating students would take this famous course called Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
One of the Top 3 reasons were
1. Go to other places and Earn a dollar
2. Parents encouragement and suggestions to take up the said course (100% sure I'm one of them :D)
3. Because of peers who would also take the Course
Face the truth that's the reasons that my batch mates made maybe some other graduating students of my time.
Sad to say I never got an answer "To serve humanity"
Today Nurses are not needed for now so some of the RNs are busy finding other jobs like call centers, hotel receptionists, flight attendants (oh they were lucky) doing some small business...etc. And more RN tambays due to lack of employment opportunities in our country.
Training Centers are giving opportunities to train unemployed RNs like PNRC, ACLS and other training centers.
One suggestion as nurses TAKE SOME TIME TO TRAIN YOURSELVES it is better to spend than to make your self idle.
Next suggestion go take a Masters degree no matter you don't have a job you still have to go study in order to update yourself, others would take Nautical and aeronautics rather than being an RN (Guys respect their decisions of career change)
Also take some EDUCATION UNITS we all know that the next year K12 will be implemented by the government, you can be a NURSE EDUCATOR. I'm sure you will enjoy the company of some professionals and other graduates of different courses.
It is easy to say to "take up Nursing" But to tell you it hard to become a nurse even you are working in the hospitals. But just make your self productive in all times, Pray to overcome the toxicity, rather than staying idle in your house.
Being a nurse doesn't mean that you will work at the hospital for the rest of your life, I say to you go spread your wings and find a gate that makes your career bloom.
God Bless Fellow RNs I know, it is hard (even if you feel that you're gonna quit, just go on and while you are working to find some opportunities) but God would always open the gates of happiness for you.
